‘All I’m Asking, Nigeria, is that You Hear My Voice’– 12 Year Old Amina Pleads in Emotional Documentary Film on Gender Inequality in Nigeria

I got this entire post including the post title from this website.

This documentary on gender inequality is even more touching and relevant in light of the recent child marriage controversy in Nigeria. Although Amina is not been sold into marriage, her story allows us to picture the faces and lives of the young children who are the victims of the child marriages in Nigeria. Studies show that a majority of these marriages take place in the North. This documentary shows us the socioeconomic factors that are contributing to the high rate of child marriages in Northern Nigeria.
